New Zealand - December 27 - 31 2014

December 27, 2014 -Before leaving Australia, we went to check in at the airport and were told that we could not get on a plane to New Zealand unless we could prove that we had already purchased a ticket to leave New Zealand and the specific date.  So we sat down at the airport and made a plane reservation for the middle of February to fly to Singapore.  We were then allowed to check in to our plane.  Arrived in Auckland, New Zealand near midnight.  Took a cab to the hotel which was in the central business district (CBD) of town.  Very tired.  No photos yet.

December 28, 2014 - Went off on foot to explore this beautiful town that is about 1/10th the size of Sydney, yet very vibrant.  Strolled around the business and along the waterfront where we ate at an outside café.  Had a great lunch and looked at all the yachts parked nearby.  After dinner we worked more on planning our next travel steps.

This is at 90 Mile Beach.  The tide started coming in while we were there and it moves pretty fast.
